Life hacks that can improve your overall wellbeing

Almost every person out there is looking for some way to improve their overall wellbeing. This could mean that they have more energy when they wake up in the morning, that they can achieve their ideal weight, that they have clear skin and bright eyes, or that they are fit enough to play with their kids. Whatever the motivation may be, there are plenty of life hacks out there that can improve your overall wellbeing. Many of these life hacks can be implemented in the form of a morning routine. This means putting aside a little bit of time each morning to regularly participate in some self-care activities. For example, some people will like to start their day with warm water mixed with apple cider vinegar and lemon. This is known to aid digestion and kick-start the body’s metabolism. Others will put aside 20 minutes in the morning to meditate, to write in their gratitude journal, or to simply take some deep breaths. Some will like to squeeze in a morning walk, and others will like to cuddle and be silly with their children in bed before they begin their day. Everyone’s morning routine will look a little different, but implementing one can be a great way to improve your overall wellbeing.

Take a second throughout the day

Throughout the day is when many people are so busy that they forget what they are working for and will make unconscious decisions such as reaching for that donut at 3pm. Most people will be working so they can support their families, so that they have more financial freedom, and so they can make a contribution to society. Many will forget this and will find themselves simply moving through the motions. A great way to bring yourself back into the present moment is to take a second throughout the day, no matter how busy you get. Some people like to put a little reminder in their phone which will tell them to breathe and have a glass of water. Others may take five minutes to get outside and walk around their office building. Some will simply get up from their desk chair and do some squats. There are even some who will put positive affirmations all around their place of work. Whatever it may be, taking a moment to pause throughout the day and to remember why you are working so hard can make a drastic improvement to your overall wellbeing and health.
